Orange is the new third
A nod to a classic and a tribute to our city.
With our new third kit in orange, we connect the present with the past while delivering one of our most requested match shirts - in a modern vintage.
The 2024 third shirt offers a loud and fearless design where we take inspiration and influences from the iconic cranes by the Göta river, from brick walls in the city's governor's house and from a match stand that stood out.
When we made it to the Champions League in 1997, we did so after, among other things, beating Glasgow Rangers 3-0 at Ullevi. We did it in an orange match kit that went down in history - and imprinted in the memory of thousands of blue and white players.
The inspiration comes of course from the classic orange shirt, but just as much from Gothenburg as the city. If you are looking for a common thread - or in this case an orange thread - you will find it almost anywhere. From the tallest to the smallest buildings, in Slottsskogen when the seasons change the tree crowns, at Eriksbergskranen and many other places around the city.
Craft's clear supporter theme is visible in the design work - among other things in the colored pattern image representing "Comradeship" as well as on the icon on the neck with the same image. The camaraderie is central, just like for IFK Gothenburg in general.
This match shirt is a replica model of the authentic third shirt. The shirt has logos and a sublimated neck icon unlike the authentic match shirt which has a silicone print on the club badge, Craft logos and neck icon and is made from more exclusive and higher quality materials. The replica model also has a slightly looser fit than the authentic match shirt. The replica jersey is made of material that transports away moisture and creates excellent comfort both in the stands and at high intensity. The shirt has a raglan cut in the arm with a ribbed finish.
