Welcome home Oscar!

Oscar Wendt has Blue and White in his blood. Dad Joakim played in IFK Gothenburg in the early 80's and it was naturally that the 17-year-old talent moved here when he left IFK Skövde. He joined the association's youth team but made his A-team debut the same year. In 2006, Oscar had established himself as a regular left-back and in the summer he left his blue and white friends and moved to Denmark. He played five seasons in FC Copenhagen before his career continued in Borussia Mönchengladbach, and after almost 240 Bundesliga matches, Oscar returns to Kamratgården. Here are his friends from 2006 and welcome him back home.

Welcome home Marcus!

Marcus Berg came to IFK Gothenburg as a 17-year-old from Torsby in Värmland. After a couple of years in the academy, he made his debut in the A-team in 2006. The big breakthrough came in the spring of 2007 when Berg threw in goals and rendered him the finest tribute a goal scorer can get, the nickname "Black-Marcus". The goals also gave his friends in IFK a good push on the way to the Swedish Championship gold and himself a shared victory in the shooting league. In August 2007, he left Gothenburg for adventures in the Netherlands, Germany and Greece, among other places. He is soon reunited with his friends in Blåvitt.
